稳赚 RM 1,000 的方法 (只限30岁以下) - PRS

什么是PRS?

Private Retirement Scheme (PRS) 是自愿性的长期投资计划,帮助存入的投资者累积储蓄用作退休用途。她的存在不是为了取代现有的KWSP存款,而是KWSP以外额外的存款。虽然本质上与KWSP相同都是退休才可提款,然而PRS是自愿性,而非强制性。不是所有开KWSPaccount的都有PRS。
每一个PRS都有一系列的退休基金供选择。投资者可以选适合自己的基金,根据个人的年龄,需求,目标,风险承受能力等作考量。作为能当PRS的基金一定要符合某些目标,能让存款持续增长,风险要能很好的分散和受控制等。因此,一般上,能作为PRS的基金都是大基金,有很好的风险控制的。

 

如何投资?

最低存款是RM1,000。无需每月供(当然可像KWSP那样每月存入,有此选项),很多公司都有PRS的基金,例子如Public Mutual。

 

回酬可靠吗?我会得多少回酬?

和任何投资产品一样,风险是有的,只是多少而已。PRS一般上由于是退休基金的关系,风险会比一般高回酬的激进基金来得较低。至于回酬,一般上都不会少于6-8%,笔者有一个PRS基金在过去一年有超过10%的回酬。

 

30岁以下的好处

不知不觉,就快迈入2018年了。这几年来,由于政府的推动,存入Private Retirement Scheme (PRS)的投资者不断增加。而这些人群中,很多还是年轻人。
在2017年1月1日之间-2018年12月31日这段时间内存入RM1,000 (可以选择多次累积/ 一次性放1000下去。)的,政府会送出RM1,000作为奖励。这项优惠仅限于30岁之前哦。
笔者认为,投资PRS与否见仁见智,因为未必所有人都能有多余钱被套牢至退休,然而这种
RM 1,000 得 RM 1,000 稳稳100%入袋的优惠,不拿就可惜了。

笔者建议还未过30岁的,尽快存入至少RM1,000来得此优惠。

What is a private retirement scheme?

 A private retirement scheme (PRS) is a voluntary long-term investment scheme designed to help individuals accumulate savings for retirement. It complements the mandatory contributions made to EPF.

Each PRS will include a range of retirement funds that individuals may choose to invest in based on their own retirement needs, goals and risk appetite. The fund options under a PRS must be consistent with the objective of building savings for retirement and ensure that there is a prudent spread of risk.

 

What are the tax incentives for contributions to PRS?

As announced in Budget 2012:

Tax relief up to RM3,000 per annum will be given for an individual’s contribution to the PRS; and

Employers will also be given tax deduction on contributions to PRS made on behalf of their employees of up to 19% of the employees’ remuneration.

 

Private Retirement Scheme (PRS) Youth Incentive

Recognising the need to cultivate a retirement savings culture amongst the younger demographics, the Government has announced that it will make a RM1,000 one-off contribution under the Private Retirement Scheme (PRS) Youth Incentive. This incentive aims to provide a head start for Malaysian youths between the ages of 20-30 years. It is effective 1 January 2017, for a period of two years from 2017 to 2018.

Eligibility

  • Malaysian.
  • At the point of qualifying for the incentive, the contributor should have exceeded the age of 20 and have not reached the age of 31.
  • Existing Private Pension Administrator (PPA) account holders or new members.

The Incentive

  • Member will be given a RM1,000 one-off contribution when he/she made a gross contribution of RM1,000.
  • The criteria for the incentive:
    • The gross contribution of RM1,000 must be made by a Malaysian youth:-
      • aged between 20 and 30, have not reached the age of 31.
      • within 2017 to 2018.
      • in a single PRS fund of a Provider.
  • Contributions can be made on a lump sum or staggered basis within the calendar year.
  • The incentive will be reinvested into the fund.
  • For contributions with more than one PRS fund, the incentive will be given to the fund that first reaches the gross contribution of RM1,000.
  • If contributions were made on the same date, the incentive will be equally divided among the funds.

 

Note: Employers’ contributions are excluded from the incentive programme.

How Would The Incentive Be Given?

  • Member will receive the RM1,000 in the form of units of the PRS fund(s) that the member has contributed the RM1,000.
  • The number of units is calculated based on the NAV per unit of the PRS fund(s) at the valuation point.
  • The Government’s RM1,000 one-off contribution will not be subject to PPA’s annual fee and Provider’s sales charge.
  • The RM1,000 is a ONE-OFF incentive, as such members will only receive it ONCE and not once every year.
  • The incentive is not eligible for tax relief.
